component of improving practice.
Make rational and conscious decisions
"Reflection in action" (being able to think on the fly while teaching) and "reflection on action" (considering the lesson after teaching it) are both important.
Engage in praxis; learning, reflecting and implementing new ideas into our practice
Reflection Learning using a case study approach and discussion about the approach to solving the problem posed in the case study is one way to implement new theories into practice.
Experiential Learning using scenarios and role-playing exercises followed by discussion and reflection is another way to implement theory into practice.
