Rich/ South Divide
The richer countries are generally in the Northern Hemisphere, with Australia exempt from this.
Other terms
MEDCs are mostly in the Northern Hemispere, called the 'global north' or HICs (High Income Countries).
LEDCs are mostly in the Southern Hemisphere,called the 'global south', or LICs (Low Income Countries).
