Classroom Modifications
Sectioned classroom, designate areas for certain themed activities
set up tables in various group sizes
use a variety of visual aids, audio help, and kinesthetic teaching material
try to be make activities organized and easy to understand
Teaching Modifications
slow down the pace
repeat instructions
teach in smaller group sizes
have students work together and teach each other
Parent Communication
be honest and open
learn about their home life. is it stable and/or supportive?
assign homework for kids and parents to work on at home, in correlation with what is being taught at school
