As the Country Director
work with customers and market influencers to establish a long-term vision for advertisers, publishers and partners
deeply understand the context of the market and within Google, you are the primary advocate of your country

You set visions that inspire your organization and partner with the cross-functional country leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the country’s day-to-day operations.
As a Sales Leader
you lead and coach high-performing account teams that use consultative sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions
You also work with sales managers to help their teams deliver on ambitious targets and partner directly with clients to exceed growth targets across markets and verticals.
Within the country
you set strategic and transparent objectives, collaborate with your functional counterparts and execute
You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team.
You use an analytical approach to sales management to develop and grow some of the most significant agencies and businesses in the market.
We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms.
Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build strong businesses and brands.

We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.
Responsibilities
•Manage New Zealand operations, including the development and execution of the overall New Zealand business growth and business strategy.
•Build an advertising sales operations capability to provide world-class service to Google’s top advertisers and agencies with a One Google collaborative approach
•Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of Google products and services in region. Ensure new product launches are successfully communicated to your local market.
•Establish strong relationships with senior level individuals at advertising agencies, direct advertising clients; meet and exceed New Zealand business growth targets
•Develop and implement ecosystem programs to improve the profile of Google in the industry partnering with the New Zealand Government, Public Policy teams and broader industry partners
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
•BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
•Experience as a people manager while leading teams through change.
•Experience in working in foreign, multi-national, matrixed organization.
Preferred qualifications:
•MBA.
•Significant sales and general management experience in technology, advertising and/or internet industries.
•Proven influencer among New Zealand media, business and political channels; strong relationships within the advertising and technology players in the region.
•Analytical acumen and thought leadership, paired with agile mind set and can-do attitude.
•Demonstrated track record of success in a fast growing, competitive business environment, with an instinct for business-generating activities. Strong track record of cross-functional leadership and general management capabilities - ability to focus and prioritize, industry thought leadership, etc.
•Charismatic leader and successful people manager with the highest level of integrity, and potential to grow further beyond this role as part of Google’s internal talent pipeline for Senior Leadership.
- While working in Halliburton in my role as Development Lead, I managed 8 people. The Venezuelan political situation was critical negatively. I manage to maintain the group confidence and help them through the daily changes. New opportunities abroad for all the personal in temporal projects was the alternative solution instead of laying off.
- While working in Ameriven (JV), the company at the time had a software (Corporate) they were not using and there was a need to organize production data in order to effectively see results and trends. I manage to create a project to analyse all the market competition of the software in order to acquire an user friendly option. Despite the bias towards the one in house that nobody was using
- While working in Schlumberger I was the country expert of a production software. I manage to support the corporate sales of it to the National Oil company and train in house people. I tailored examples, created Spanish templates and strategies to effectively teach that personnel in order to multiply the knowledge.
