PALLET FLOW RACK
A pallet racking system designed for depth space
pallet flow uses a conveyor that is slightly inclined to make pallets or totes move easily along a sloped plane
Called also gravity flow or dynamic flow racking systems
the pallet flow system is frequently equipped with motion and braking systems to control the speed of the moving pallet.
Las paletas o cajas se cargan en la parte posterior del estante y se descargan en la parte delantera.
Pallet flow or case flow systems easily support first-in-first-out (FIFO) inventory management systems.
CROSS DOCKING
products from a supplier or manufacturing plant
are distributed directly to a customer or retail chain with marginal to no handling or storage time
consisting
trucks
dock doors on two
sides with minimal storage space
RACK DRIVE IN
pallets
are placed so they can slide backwards on a rail
thus storing them more deeply
creating more space in the warehouse
involves the forklift
one side to load or retrieve the pallets which are stored more deeply.
RACK SELECTIVO
Storage system
middle loads
heavy loads
characteristics of loading units
and it works with FIFO logic
The distribution of this system
out with wall shelving units of one access
and central shelving units of double access
with aisles that allow the full movility of cranes.
RACK PUSH BACK
this rack system
palletized goods and materials to be stored by being pushed up a gently graded ramp
Stored materials are allowed to flow down the ramp to the aisle
This rack configuration allows for deep storage a each rack level.
CARTON FLOW
Carton flow racking is a case storage method that uses wheels or rollers
as well as gravity flow to convey cases from one end of a rack or shelving module to the other
the gravity flow design
when a case is removed
the remaining cases roll forward to the front – pickers do not have to reach into the racking and First-In First-Out (FIFO) is maintained
