Assessments
This is the process of gathering evidence of student learning, providing feedback, adjusting instruction strategies to enhance achievement, where learners can change behaviors with discussions, and quizzes. Formative assessment can be formal or informal.

This type of assessment is used to evaluate where students are in their learning progress and to determine whether they are on track to performing well on future assessments.
Benchmark Assessments are short tests administered throughout the school year to give teachers immediate feedback on how students are meeting academic standards.

The goal of summative assessments are to evaluate student learning at the end of an instructional unit by comparing it against some standard or benchmark. They are often high stakes, which means they have a high point value.
Examples: Projects; Exams, Evaluaions
This is known as alternative or authentic assessment. It requires students to perform a task rather than select an answer from a ready-made list.

No RTI data was available for any of the students. Things I would do to adjust for struggling students is:
- Pre teach challenging vocabulary.
- Allow students additional time.
- Adjust the difficulty of the assignment to match the students ability.
