Feedback
4 Levels of feedback
- Task and product level - corrective feedback, powerful when it is information focused
- Process level - aimed at the process used to complete a task - can lead to employing different strategies to complete the task
- Self-regulation or conditional level - focused on students monitoring their own learning - self evaluation
- Self-level - commonly thought of as praise, "good work" "great effort" useful for helping students feel welcome to a class
Feedback needs to be on time, specific to the individual and where they are currently at in the learning process
-
Evaluation - Evaluation is the systematic process of collecting, analysing and interpreting information to determine the extent to which pupils are achieving objectives.
