After choosing if the deceased is a donor and before choosing a recipent definitely, a series of tests must be run such as blood test, along with many other labs.

All the steps that are followed to conduct a transplant including; identifying who the recipient is, the biopsies and blood work

Legal matters
What it is:
Whether the deceased patient is a donor or if the will says anything specific. A lawyer may approach the next of kin of the deceased has not indicated their will to donate.
Case example:
The lawyer will approach the next of kin to ensure if the deceased is a donor. Legal matters are taken care of by the lawyers to make sure the proper organs are being donated.
