Overall
OLOF: tells the story of Divine (drag queen) who lived in attic room overlooking cemetery which she shares w/ various lovers, namely Darling Daintyfoot (pimp). He brings home Our Lady of the Flowers, a young murderer who is eventually arrested, tried, and executed. Divine is said to be dead at the start of the story and the stories are told mainly to amuse the narrator who is in jail.
GR: David is living in Paris trying to escape home in America and meets and falls in love with Giovanni. He is ashamed of this and throughout the book tries to desensitize himself until he realizes he has scared himself into not being capable of loving both Giovanni and his fiancée who, throughout the novel, is travelling in Spain. → Giovanni executed in the end
