is a group of words that give meaning to a sentence.

subject+verb+predicate
structure.

:pencil2: They differ from a sentence because they don´t have a complete idea .
Examples

Noun Phrases
are formed by a noun which is called
head
and the words that modify it.
:pencil2: Words that can modify nouns include articles (
a
house,
the
house), adjectives (a
new
house) and possessive pronouns (
your
house).
:pencil2: Sometimes the head can be a pronoun.

Verb Phrases
are formed by a verb and the words that complement it.
Examples

enjoy
making pizza. (Simple Verb Phrase)
:check: The sky
is
blue. (Simple verb phrase)
:check: He
has been working
hardly. (Complex Verb phrase)
The main verb is in the last part of the verb phrase.
Verb Phrases can be simple(consisting of a main verb) and complex (when they include modal or auxiliary verbs before the main verb).
The first or only word in the verb phrase indicates the tense.
