5 MAJOR OF CONSIDERATION
Management Control
Management control also looks into the financial costs of projects and finds ways to maximize it.
Management control also looks into other elements such as customer service, quality measurement, quality assurance, ISO certification and OHSAS accreditation.
Management control manages the performance of individuals and departments based on set targets (KPI) - QCD
Decision Analysis
This is the part where managers plan and maximize usage of vehicles. Managers will decide whether to use a dedicated truck or to console it for cargo deliveries.
This stage will also explore the inventory planning and usage to ensure minimum inventory storage in the warehouse, and ensure the supply is ready to be used once the production operation has begun.
The whole chain uses MIS or IT to allow visibility of the cargo movement.
Order Entry Point
The OEP is the first point of order management to establish the structure of the production phase.
Production transactions will not take place if the first point did not follow the SOP.
Customer requests will be keyed in the order of selection for the system to capture it.
Pricing would be locked based on the quantity purchased.
It is characterized by formal rules and standard operating procedures (SOP).
Strategic Planning
.At this stage general managers, chief operating officers and chief executive officers play a bigger role to look, think and act strategically for the company’s best interest.
The top management will look into ways to facilitate development of the company as a whole.
Managers use all the information provided from the previous stages to develop possible alliances with strategic partners.
On top of the SCMIS pyramid is the Strategic Planning.
Production Operation
Operation teams will plan the production based on the order entry keyed-in. If the wrong data were keyed-in, the wrong product will be used in the production line.
After OEP, the next step is production operation.
Production operation is responsible to ensure the minimum order quantity (MOQ) is met before the start of the production.
