- - - - A fight breaks out in the town between the Montagues and the Capulets. This causes the Prince to ban fighting between the two families and keep them under surveillance.
  - - - Mercutio and Tybalt engage in a duel and swing at each other until Tybalt finally lands a hit on Mercutio, ultimately killing him. This causes Romeo to go into a fit of rage and kill Tybalt. Word spread quickly about Romeo killing Tybalt and the Prince arrived. The Prince stated that, unless he left Verona immediately, he would be execucted. This caused Juliet and the Nurse to be unhappy. Although Juliet still retained her love for Romeo, the Nurse ended up sharing her stance on the situation, stating that because Romeo killed Tybalt, Juliet should no longer marry him.
- - - - Romeo is banished from Verona, which keeps him and Juliet separated.
    - - This causes Juliet to be angry at her father for forcing her to marry a man she doesn't want to marry, when she really wants to marry Romeo.
    - - Since the two houses do not get along, marriage between Romeo and Juliet is discouraged. This cause them to sneak around and get privately married by Friar Lawrence.
  - - - After telling Romeo to flee to Mantua, Lord Capulet announces that Juliet would marry Paris in three days, which was sooner than they expected.
        
        Friar Lawrence tries to give Juliet a chance at marrying Romeo by making a poison that temporarily kills her.
        
        Friar Lawrence sends out a messenger to give a note to Romeo in Mantua that should return him home in three days to elope with Juliet after her "funeral".
        
        The marriage date is changed yet again, only this time, to be scheduled the next day!
        
        Friar Lawrence sends out Balthasar by horse to inform Romeo of Juliet's "death". Romeo rushes home to Verona on his horse only to find Juliet dead, but he doesn't know that her death is only temporary. Crying about the death of his love, he drinks a bottle of poison, killing himself. Not a moment later Juliet finally arises from her slumber and sees her dead husband on the floor and Friar Lawrence in the tomb with her. They hear voices coming from outside, Friar Lawrence flees and Juliet kills herself with a dagger to be with her one and only Romeo.
        
        Therefore, due to his intervention and ruined plans, Friar Lawrence played a big role in the miscommunication that cost Romeo and Juliet their lives.
- - - - It was chance for Romeo to stumble upon Tybalt and kill him after Mercutio's death, right after the Prince set up a law banning fighting with exile.
        
        The chance of Juliet waking up right after Romeo kills himself.
        
        Juliet kills herself to be with Romeo, ending the relationship in doom, proving their fate to be true.
- - - - As they rush into marriage, they don't take into consideration the consequences of their actions.
        
        Juliet is only 13 and hasn't experienced true love until then. This caused her to act irrationally by faking her own death and putting herself in danger of not waking up, to be able to flee Verona with Romeo. She ultimately took her own life to be with a boy who she only knew for a short period of time.
        
        They did not think about the fighting that would occur between the two families if they ever found out about the relationship while the couple was still alive.
