The Electra Complex (Girls) - girls realise they don't have a penis, and start to develop penis envy. They know that their father has a penis, and so they start to develop sexual feelings for him. They see their mother as a rival for their father's affection. As the mother also does not have a penis, the girl blames her mother for her own lack of a penis, believing the mother has castrated her. They identify with their mother in order to possess the father, however as penis envy is not as strong as castration anxiety, they do not identify as strongly with their mother as boys do with their father, and so their superego is weaker. Therefore, they are not as moral as boys.
