Adjectives
Use more ambitiuos vocabulary. Saying the 'red' cat was jumping won't get you a mark
Use other adjectives such as
Adaptable
Affectionate
Adventurous
Ambitious
Adverbs
Add on to your verbs to portray your characters better
Steadily
Rapidly
Bit by Bit
Without a sound
Adverbs don't have to end in a 'ly'
Connectives
Use more adventurous language
And, so and but are not good connectives

Nouns
Use different nouns. Use pronouns aswell
pronouns are not nouns
Eg a paragraph that repeats 'the boy' could be changed by saying the young man, main character, our hero, his actual name, he and more
Punctuation
Use different types of punctuation to give your sentence more power
