Assessments come in many different forms. The overall object of assessment is to help teachers understand the student and where they are at academically. Teachers benefit from assessments by adjusting their lessons based off assessment results. Teachers can create data to monitor students growth.
Assessments help students understand their learning expectations. Students can benefit from assessments by creating portfolios of their work to see their growth throughout the year to keep their motivation up. Assessments benefit students by learning and understanding their content by multiple choice questions or authentic assessment.
