Love is something which one would need help with, to 'borrow Cupid's wings' and 'soar' (meaning to get help and find love)
This character feels that love is given to someone who is righteous enough to have it by Cupid, only lovers may have it. To 'soar' is to be successful with love 'above a common bound' (above regular love)
