The connection between LTPF and ISTE standards for teachers in terms of Professional learning and Promote and Model Digital Citizenship is that teachers are constantly promoting and teaching students how to use technology effectively and safely and teachers are constantly growing in terms of discovering what technology one possesses.
This connection shows that the outcomes of students for both ISTE Standards for Students and ICT Program of Studies is that students have to use technology to communicate both locally and globally and with each other to help effectively solve problems.
Student outcomes of both LTPF and ISTE Standards for Students are that they are meant to be able to demonstrate global communication skills using technology and by doing so, effectively solve problems that students might encounter.
The connection between leadership with LTPF and the Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership Outcomes are that teachers are constantly growing and actively seeking in the field of digital tools and technology and by doing so, demonstrating they are leaders in the digital age.
In the ICT program of Studies, student outcomes for Process for Productivity is that students can manipulate data and text. As well, in the ISTE Standards for Students, an outcome or main idea was innovative designer, where students use digital tools and technologies to design solutions to solve problems. Both of these are related to one another in that students are essentially being taught how to use technology to get to the final result, or the final product.
