Yin and Yang

He wrote a book named the Dao De Jing. This book contained his thoughts and beliefs on the world.

He believed everyone had rights so he created a religion called Taoism which is about positive and active attitude.

Yin & Yang are two opposing forces the present in all of nature ♻

Yang stands for- light,warmth,active,generation,and heaven.

Yin stands for -dark,cold,negative,growth,and below.

Taoism/Daoism

Taoism and Daoism are the same religion, just spelled differently.

Taoism/Daoism was first accepted in some parts of China and had reflected earlier philosophies and legends.

This is because it is the darker part of the Yin Yang sign,this sign reflects a culture of good and evil

Random facts about Lao Tzu

It is believed that Confucius and the Buddha new each other and had met before, but Lao Tzu had never met either.

To this day many people still practice the ways of the Dao.

Confucius and Lao Tzu were believed to have lived around the same time.

In Daoism, meditation and tuning into nature are the most important rituals.

Aside from Laozi’s writings in the Daodejing, the philosophy of Daoism is based on the ideas of
other people who accepted and spread the teachings of Daoism.

Lao Tzu may not have been an actual person. It is believed that there were many people who wrote the Dao De Jing.

Many people (especially in Western countries) tend to separate ideas in nature into opposites like good and evil, black and white, or life and death.

He hated the idea that a person should have a role since birth.

He lived in China during 6th Century BC.
