Example1 Summative assessments are those where the students are being tested over what they just learned. Chapter tests are an example of summative assessments.

Assessment Data
Student 1 43 , Student 2 64 Student 3. 58
My second strategy for improving the test scores follows the breaking down of the TEKS and tutoring on appropriate TEKS. I will incorporate this work with our learning stations, focusing on one TEK per station. This will benefit all students, not just the students needing the RTI tutoring. Everyone can stay brushed up on this material.
To improve these test scores, I will look over these reading tests and break it down to TEKS. Once I know the TEK they are struggling with, I will offer tutoring in small groups over the TEK or TEKS. I will share this with the students, and we will figure out where the struggle is in their data binder and keep a running chart so that I always know what interventions to pursue with which student.

Formative
Example1 Formative Assessments can be done while the students are working on a task. The teacher can observe what they are doing and alter the instruction based on what they are observing.
Example 2 Exit ticket is a great formative assessment. it is used at the end of a class so that the teacher can evaluate what the student knows or may have a misconception about. This formative assessment allows the teacher to see how she should tweek the next lesson or if it's time to move on to the next lesson.

Performance
Example 2 After a student has learned about two things, having the student do a power point or even a poster presentation of comparing and contrasting the two items is a great way to assess the student performance with their skills regarding the two subjects.
Example 1 A performance assessment is an assessment of how a student can use the information that they have learned. Writing a paper over a subject is the way for an instructor to assess how the student can use the knowledge he has obtained.
-
Interim/Benchmark
Example 2 A Rubric of what the standard being observed can be used as a interim assessment. It helps the educator to determine where the student is on a topic as related to where they "should be".
Example 1 Brigance Testing This is done on a one-on-one basis and is mostly for students just entering school. Link Title
