A3: The movie A Clockwork Orange shows an example of a character getting treated for his violent tendencies using classical conditioning. After being injected with something that makes him sick while watching violent videos, he finds he is unable to commit violence for a while because the thought of doing so makes him sick (though without scheduled reinforcement, this effect gradually goes away). In a way, forcing him to get treatment this way seems violent in itself, because it is performed against his will, and in the end has no effect on actually making the character a better person in any way. In short, classical conditioning seems like a pandora's box of dangers, even when it is done with good intentions, just because of this imbalance of power. (David)
