Reagan: after winning the 1980 election, Reagan made many changes to U.S. Policies. He cut down on the Welfare State, and increased deficit spending by three times its original amount from what it has been in 1970. 
George Bush: Suceeded Reagan after being his Vice President, but failed to deal with the growing federal deficit and economic downturn. 
Clinton: "new kind of democrat" - favored many Republican economic policies. He revived the economy which led him to popularity but was acquitted by the senate due to charges of misconduct. 
Nixon: During Nixon's presidency, the South began to form an allegiance to the Republic party after having been loyal to the Democratic Party for some time. Nixon's presidency was short lived, however, the watergate scandal leading to his resignation. 
Ford: Was president by default after Nixon's resignation until losing the election to Carter in 1976. 
Carter: By 1980, Carter's administration faced economic issues of high inflation and decrease in average earnings. A crisis in Iran in which 52 Americans were held hostage contributed to his loss in the next election because he failed to release the hostages. 
Bush and 911
The son on George Bush, George W, Bush was elected after Clinton. The infamous terrorist attack on 9/11/01 led him to become an adiment support of the fight against terrorism, attacking the Taliban in all ways possible. After being re-elected in 2004, his popularity quickly plummeted with the Iraq war taking it's toll and the Republican Party showing corruption.

Popular Culture: Movies, Music, and sports were key to pop culture. Sports were demonstrated to be a huge part of politics when hostsges were held in Munich as a huge terroristic movie. Western cultures are heavy influential to other cultures, called cultural imperialism.
