It is environmental because it is recyclable.
It is not very sustainable but can be recycled.

Grey board comes from well managed forests so it is sustainable.
What are the properties of each one?
It is easy to print on and can stick on other surfaces easily.
It has a high quality blenched surface, which is ideal for printing.
It is rigid and easy to cover with paper so that graphics can be printed onto it.
It is lightweight material that is easily shape-able with a knife. Some types are quite crumbly but others a fairly dense structure.
It is flexible, hard, shiny and transparent/translucent. It's easy to print on too.
