-
Educational professionals use digital resources to increase productivity in the classroom in order to enhance the students learning process. Teachers are continually learning about how to support student success and learning in the classroom through technology,
Digital resources are made accessible to all students and teachers. For example, by making operating systems and software available in multiple languages, french immersion and francophone programs are also able to use them as a means to facilitate learning.
Teachers are aware, are up to date, proficient with technological advances and are constantly learning about ways to integrate technology into their own classroom to advance student success.
Technology that is available allows students to broaden their perspectives, connect, and collaborate with others to further their understanding of concepts and issues.
Students use technology as a means to express themselves and develop their creative thinking skills. Technology helps students think outside the box and encourages self-expression in both face-to-face environments and virtual.
Both components promote and help students become problem solvers who think critically through the use of technology.
Teachers and students are both aware of the ethics of technology and teachers pass on their knowledge to students on how to use technology in a safe manner. Teachers teach students about copyright and intellectual property.
