Apple "Lisa"- A desktop computer that was one of the first personal computers to offer a graphical user interface. Apple created a machine that one single individual could use GUI on.
GUI- a human-computer interface, a way for humans to interact with computers that uses windows, icons and menus and which can be manipulated by a mouse and often to a limited extent by a keyboard as well.
IBM(Founding)- Computer Manufacturing company that sells computers. Company that sells out computers.
Microsoft Windows- A meta family of graphical operating systems developed, marketed, and sold by Microsoft. It consists of several families of operating systems, each of which cater to a certain sector of the computing industry with the OS typically associated with IBM PC compatible architecture. Helped people with their jobs.

I Pad- A very popular tablet computer from Apple. This was like a mobile computer for those who wanted to do work away from home
IPhone- Is a smartphone made by Apple that combines an iPod, a tablet PC, a digital camera and a cellular phone. The device includes Internet browsing and networking capabilities. Many peoples way to do things through the network instead of using a computer.
Jacquard Loom- A device fitted to a power loom that simplifies the process of manufacturing textiles. It was made compatible with computers to make it faster.
J.V. Atanasoff/ Clifford Berry- They created the first digital electronic computer. It was the most sophisticated piece of work in 1939
Integrated Circuit- An electronic circuit formed on a small piece of semiconducting material, performing the same function as a larger circuit made from discrete components. It was the fastest working circuit they had.
Floppy Disk- A flexible removable magnetic disk, typically encased in hard plastic, used for storing data. It was a primary storage unit for people that you just put in ur computer and save it.
HTML- Hypertext Markup Language, a standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, color, graphic, and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages. You could edit things on ur computer to make it different.
Facebook- Facebook is a popular free social networking website that allows registered users to create profiles, upload photos and video, send messages and keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues. Many people used this on their computers before smartphones to interact with others.
ENIAC- Was the world's first general-purpose computer. Designed and built for the United States Army to calculate artillery firing tables.
Ethernet- a system for connecting a number of computer systems to form a local area network, with protocols to control the passing of information and to avoid simultaneous transmission by two or more systems. People with computers could share their data.
Google- Search for information about someone or something on the Internet using the search engine Google. Main place people go on their computers to find info.
YouTube- a video sharing service that allows users to watch videos posted by other users and upload videos of their own. A way to show ur travels and what you did on the internet.
Turing Machine- a mathematical model of a hypothetical computing machine that can use a predefined set of rules to determine a result from a set of input variables.
Cobal/FORTRAN- is a compiled English-like computer programming language designed for business use. Multi- langue purpose.
Dram-Dynamic random access memory (DRAM) is a type of memory that is typically used for data or program code that a computer processor needs to function. In many computers to help make them function.
The Personal Computer- Was the first computer mainly used for one person and compatible for one person. A take home computer.
VisiCalc / WordStar-VisiCalc was the original computer spreadsheet program. WordStar is a word processor application. Helped do more on your computer.
