Natural Resources
All the living organism depend on natural resources for survival
Natural resources are resources that occur naturally
examples include water ,soil and vegetation etc
Can be consumed directly or indirectly
Food is consumed directly
Indirectly forests act as climate control or storm protection
Natural resources can be used as raw materials e.g trees are used for making furniture
Natural resources can be solid, liquid or gas
Types of natural resources
Renewable
are constantly available
When they come from living things they are called organic renewable(trees or animals)
When they come from non-living things they are called inorganic living things(water or sun)
Non-renewable
cannot be easily replaced once used up or wasted
When they come from living things they are called organic living things
When they come from non-living things they are called inorganic living things
Forms in which natural resources are consumed
Mobility
Housing and Infrastructure
Food and drink
Threats to natural resources
Climate change is also a threat to natural resources as species that have acclimatized to their environments may perish
due to overpopulation many of the natural resources are being used up
Environmental pollution affects the make up of the soils and rocks or lands and ocean water
Resource recovery is the separation of certain materials from the waste we produce
It is basically conservation or recycling of materials
