Adult Intervention
The Nurse advises Juliet that she should marry Paris because he could be a good match for her. She also pointed out that Romeo had been banished and that they would rarely see Romeo , so it could be better for her.
Lady Capulet, Juliet's Mother, insists that Juliet go to the party that Juliet go to the Capulet's party, so that she can meet Paris. Since Juliet's family has arranged her marriage to him, tentatively.
Lord Capulet lets Romeo stay at the ball. This decision by Lord Capulet allows Romeo and Juliet to meet, and begins their love story. This also sparks Tybalt's anger towards Romeo which leads to the killing of Mercutio and Tybalt and Romeo's banishment.
Romeo seeks help from Friar Lawrence, and he agrees to marry Romeo and Juliet. He has to support their decision because he agreed to perform the sacred ceremony of marriage. The nurse also helps and supports Juliet's decision to marry Romeo because she was the "messenger", and in the end she just wants Juliet to be happy
The street fight in the beginning of the play between the Capulets and Montagues, and this feud shows that the adults had already had previous conflicts, which set the stage for Romeo and Juliet to caution their love because of their families, and they realize that they have a forbidden love.
Tybalt's anger overflows and interferes with Romeo and Juliet because Tyblat will kill Mercutio and consequently Romeo will kill Tyblat. After Tyblat's death Lady Capulat desires revenge which upsets Juliet because of her love for Romeo.
Juliet's parents will force Juliet to marry Paris. Lord Capulet forces Juliet to marry Paris quickly which makes her feel pressured and upset, thus she seeks consul from Friar Laurence. Friar Laurence is the one who makes up the plan for Juliet to take the potion, fake her death, and them call for Romeo to be there when she wakes up. Except the plan backfires and Romeo and Juliet both die.
Friar John is unable to get the letter to Romeo in time before Romeo's servent notifies him of Juliet's "death." When Juliet wakes up, Friar Laurence leaves her alone which wasn't wise because of how unstable she was. Since there was no one to comfot Juliet , she makes a harsh decison to take her own life.
Apothecary is another one of the adults that influenced Romeo's death because he sold him the poison that killed him, thus leading to Juliet's death.
Youth/ Inexperience
Romeo shows his youth and inexperience when he handles the break up with Rosaline. He pouts, and exaggerates his emotions, and he weeps over his loss of his love Rosaline. All of this behaviors show his age and adolescence because it revels his need to control his emotions and the overall situation, and he only wants things his way. He was acting like a child and whining about the situation instead of dealing with it
Juliet shows her youth biologically. She is only thirteen and even her own mother and father think that she is too young to be married although it is expected for her to be married at this age.
In the beginning of the play the Capulets throw a party that Romeo goes to. He finds Juliet and they share "love at first sight". Their youthful desires for love controls their actions at the time. Their inexperience is shone when they follow their physical desires without knowing what will happen next.
After the party Romeo goes to Juliet's balcony, and they kiss again. Their youth and inexperience is shown by their decision to marry each other after only knowing each other for a few hours. They did not think about the consequence of their marriage upon their families and all they thought about was their own satisfaction.
When Romeo and Juliet head towards getting married, and this shows their youth and inexperience because they have only know each other for 12 hours which means they know nothing about each other, and how their families will react, or how they will eventually suffer from their actions. All they are thinking about is themselves which is selfish and could be fatal.
Both Romeo and Juliet say their farewells to each other, however both young adults contemplate suicide. They can see no hope for each other without one being apart of the others life. This is a narrow and inexperienced view of life.
Romeo shows her inexperience when he doest understand that Juliet's lips are still warm because she was only in a deep sleep due to the potion and she was not really dead. If he had been more experienced in life, he may have prevented his own death and her death. Juliet's youth makes her over reacts to Romeo's death, thus causing her to kill herself because of Romeo's death. She can't conceive a life without him, she makes the poor choice to kill herself.
Fate/ Chance
In the beginning of the play there is a brawl between the two feuding families, and it goes so far that the Prince says that if the two families feud continues then it will result in death. This signifies that there is already a plan in place for death. Romeo and Juliet are destined to be the deaths as result of the feud.
In the balcony scene Romeo and Juliet act as if they are "star crossed lovers" which indicates that they are controlled by the outside forces such as the stars, moon, and earth. Therefore their love goes with the flow of those outside forces and they give themselves over to their overall fate.
Destiny is shown in the presence of Friar Laurence who just so happens to be in the right place at the right time when Romeo and Juliet always need him. An example of this is when Romeo needs Friar Laurence so that he could wed him and Juliet.
Timing or what is suppose to happen to Tybalt being present when Romeo arrives this the fight and deaths that occurs because the fight is not just a coincident but an act of what is so post to happen.
The letter is prevented from arriving to Romeo which is the reason the Romeo killed himself, since he could not see a life without Juliet. Romeo's servent notifies him of Juliet's "death" and Romeo leaves right when the letter was about to be delivered to him.
