1)We selected this poem because it resembles our society and
2)The title shows how people wears a "mask" to hide their true feelings behind a false expression.
3)Our first impression on the poem was that it was very moving and touching,We liked the poem since it talks about a huge problem which we face nowadays which is racism and how it affects the victims of racism.
4)The poem is about racism and how the victims change their personalities to fit in as if they were forced to change
6)Yes the poem definitely has a purpose and it is to show others how the victims of racism are forced to change to be accepted in the environment so the poem is showing how they suffer so racists must think of others and be aware.
