Writing and Editing
Done by the PRP
Vary between press releases, reports, proposals, newsletters, invitations, event info, website info, etc
Must be monitored by the PRP before being sent out
All the written communication by the organization must uniformly use the companys corporate identity and must be written in such a way that it creates a positive corporate image
Presentations and Speeches
PRP specialists need to interact with target audiences as the face of the organisation
Have to be comfortable to face all levels of society and staff from all levels of management
Daily function as you conduct messages, interviews, deliver speech, address the media, host media conferences, and give presentations on research, reports or proposals
Media Liasion
Important external target public and liaising with the media must take place continuously to build positive relations with both print and broadcast media
As a PRP have to use press releases, media conferences, media tours, articles, photographs and captions to get positive messages to the media representatives of newspapers, online news channels, magazines, tv and radio broadcasters as well as online and social media
Research and Evaluation
Monitoring of press clippings,
social media, public opinions,
websites, competitors activities,
trends, publics, legislation,
corporate environmental changes
and anything else that might
influence the organization in
a positive or negative way
An ongoing task
Administration and Planning
Time management, detailed planning, programme implementation, financial management and feedback are all things that needs to be done on a continuous basis
PRP needs good organizational and admin skills to get everything done in time
Organising Events
Vary from exhibitions and expos to training seminars, community and corporate social event, media conferences, staff days, social gatherings, fundraisers, open days and celebrations
