Materials
Wood, acrylic, ceramic binder and glue. Each of these materials will ensure the final product is up to high standards. The different types of wood are essential for the product because if the product had the wrong (weak) wood it would cause the whole product to collapse. I will need a specif type of metal to solder the wires to the magnet if the metal does not work correctly it could cause the speaker's volume level to fluctuate.
Manufacturing
For the manufacturing process the product will require specific tools and materials. Firstly the shape of the product will need to be cut out in the laser cutter. Nextly some of the wood pieces will need to be sanded down to ensure smooth finish After that the LED will need to be cut out from the roll and will need to be secured within the product in order for the product to shine .
Aesthesis
The special touch that my product will have is that firstly it will compliment with the theme of pop art and it will make my product stand out from the rest of the items, secondly it will have an opening compartment will which allow me to store small items such as a plug and phone inside. The advantage of the opening compartment is that if the soldiering is weak or if there was any problems it would be easier to open that specific section instead of opening the full product.
Frame
The frame of the lamp will be made from acrylic and the inner side of the box will be made from acrylic plastic. The advantages with strong acrylic is that it will not break easily. Another advantage fir acrylic is that it's transparent so the light can shine out of the product. The LED will be cheap to buy so if it does get damaged it can easily get repaired. Also by using plastic for the frame it will ensure that the product will have high levels of water protection which will help the product function in any environment.
LED
For the lamp to function I will need to make sure that the LED lights are all arranged into a unique pattern to create a unique style and that it does not move around inside the box because it may stop the lights from functioning. The idea of using the LED lights is that it have different colour which will brighten up the area in the room and the lights will have a positive correlation with the room light
Theme
The theme I have chosen to do for my product is going to be pop art. The reason I have chosen pop art is because all pop art images inspired to me to make a product that will stand out and shine. Additionally I have chose pop art for my theme is because it has a deluxe touch to it and that will make my product come to life.
Shape
The shape of my product will be in a rectangular shape. The reason I have chosen to to shape my product rectangular is because it will become stable on surfaces like desks and tables, moreover in my opinion the product will look more honourable places whether it's displayed at home or on a shelf.
Colour
I have chosen some dominant and rich colours for my product. The reason my product will have strong colours is because I will place the LED lights behind the colours and it will maximise the brightness in that projected area and it will be suited for my own preference. However the outside of the product will have some dim colours so it can contrast with the room light and with theLED lights.
Quality control
After the product is complete I will need to make sure that the overall quality is checked to make sure the product is up-to the expectations the customers expect. Additionally I need to make sure its not got any cracks or chips which could prevent it from projecting light in the desired area. The glue will also needed to be checked because after a while the glue could lose it's strength and could cause the product to break down. Finally the whole product will need to be inspected for the overall quality to make sure there is no flaws in the design or product. The final lamp will be connected to a charger port and the condition of the lamp will be tested to see it can withstand different power sources.
Cost
The cost of this product will be ranged from £10 - £15 in order to fit within the budget for the customers. Teenagers do not want to pay a lot of money for a lamp so the pricing is crucial in order to ensure products are sold more frequently. Another reason why this product would be fairly cheap is bessie the product would not cost a lot to manufacture and it will maximise profits.
