Personal information should be protected from unauthorised people trying to access it. This means it needs to have certain levels of data/physical security and employees should have different levels of access, meaning they can only access what is necessary to do their job
Personal information should be handled carefully, and not distributed publicly or used for anything that it wasn't intended for.
Only essential personal data should be collected and recorded, and should be processed fairly.
