The Congress Party llllllll
History
For centuries, Hindus and Muslims have lived together, side-by-side, in India
In the history of Islam, the growth of Islam is determined by the amount of land their laws and rules cover. Though expanding influence seems like a powerful plan, it is not always a strategic move. If muslims separate from India, benefits for other groups will diminish.
Hinduism is based on nonviolence and peace. There has never been a rift between the Hindus and Muslims. India has thrived under the unity of the Hindus and Muslims and will hope to continue that partnership in the future.
Plan
No Pakistan, or separate districts: keep the current India
Creating Pakistan would eliminate the basis of history in government.
Get rid of the British IMMEDIATELY
Does not allow both Muslims or Hindus to create a government of THEIR beliefs (secular).
The British have no right to control India the way they do.
Due to British rule, India has fallen into poverty and famine.
Have a strong central government comprised of the different groups equally
This government will control finances and have the power to tax.
It will also oversee communications, control defense, and foreign affairs.
The rights of minorities must be protected
How it benefits others
Cabinet Mission
The idea of two separate nations is far more dangerous (Plan B of the Cabinet Mission). Therefore, keeping a strong, centralized India would be much safer.
Plan A of the Cabinet Mission refers to separating India in three parts. Though this plan involves bringing all three units together to form one government, division amongst religious groups is still taking place. Separating Hindus and Muslims is only tearing apart the religion of Hinduism, being that Muslims are descendants of Indian-born people. If three unites were created, simply crossing borders would create chaos. Also, coming together to create one constitution could start feuds among these units.
Sikhs
You get represented in the government
You can't become overpowered by the Muslim majority/Hindu majority if Pakistan is created
Unionists
India would be kept the way it is right now, allowing your local autonomy
The government we create will allow the groups to work together
Muslim League
A conjoined government would allow the Hindus and Muslims to learn how to work together without causing conflict.
Representation of the Muslim will increase, which allows fair laws that accommodate both religious groups. British prevent the Muslim and Hindus from creating their own government.
