Herpes Simplex in Pregnancy
Elective C Section at term (39W) if primary attack happens after 28 W
oral acyclovir 400 mg TDS until delivery
IV: if there is preterm pre-labour rupture of membranes or spontaneous vaginal delivery in the presence of primary herpes infection
Women with recurrent herpes should have suppressive therapy. risk of transmission is low
