Small Table / play stool
User
Adult
Parent
Needs to be aesthetically pleasing as the parent will not want something that looks ugly in their household, furthermore it has to be safe as it will be their small children's play table
Small Child
Needs to be vibrant, colourful to make it interesting
-
Not hugely wealthy
Needs to be affordable because every parent will need some sort of interactive object whether it is a table / chair etc.. for their small child
User requirements
Cannot be a heavy object as it will need to be portable because the parents will want to move their small child's table around
No sharp edges as safety will be a key feature for me to incorporate into my product as parents will not want their kids getting injured.

Mateirals
Wood
My product will include wood as it aesthiclly pleasing (i.e. mahogany, walnut MDF)
-
-
Metal
When i am using metal in my project i am going to make it look modern and aesthetically pleasing and i do not want it looking tacky
It must be professional (i.e. aluminium, steel)
Aesthetics
although it is a kids table it still needs to be aesthetically pleasing , it cannot be tacky though

Mechanisms
It is going to have cut out cup holders, knifes and fork etc. because a small child is very likely to spin their drink or drop their cutlery on the floor whereas with insets in the table it will solve this problem
-
It will also need to be interactive (i.e. have a clock on it so they can learn how to tell the time, or numbers for times table etc..)
As it is a small child i am going to incorporate storage into this table aswell for their toys etc..
-
Cost
Whilst my mateirals will need to look appealing to the eye I also ned to find the cheapest possible material but without looking tacky
