DIGESTIVE
-
Mouth :
Chew the food. Salivary glands secrete saliva onto the food to soften it and and chemically digests it through the enzime.
-
-
Small Intestine
More enzymes completes the breakdown of food. Villi that covers it allows food to be aborved into the bloodstream
Liver
Largest internal organ in the body. It has many roles, such as detoxifiying alcohol and helping to keep the body temperature at 37º.
Produces bile that passes into the samll intestine for diggesting fats.
Large Intestine
Receives food from Small Intestine to reasorb water into the blood. and to prepare undigested food to be eggested.
Stomach
Stores food and releases juices to continue chemical digestion. Hydrochloric acid kils bacteria and digests food

CIRCULATORY
BLOOD
Plasma: Transports blood, carries heat and blood cells around the body
Blood cells:
-
White blood cells: Protect us from diseases by producing antibodies that kill harmful microorganisms.

THE HEART
Double pump to drive bllod all over the body, two sides separated by the septum
Four chambers: Left & right divided into upper atria (left and right atrium); Lower ventricl3es separated by cuspid valves.
Blood flows through the body when the heart pumps: Blood fows from the right atrium into the right ventricle. Blood leaveas the heart through the pulmonay artery. At the longsgaseous exchange occurs and at this stage blood is fully oxygenated. Pulmonary vein brings it baac to left atrium. Left ventricle contracts & push up oxygenated blood. Lastly, blood leaves the heart throuh the aorta and is distributed to all cells of the body.
RESPIRATORY
Inhalation: Diaphragm and intercostal muscles contracts and longs expant to breath in. Exhalation: Diaphram and intercostal muscles relax and the lungs return to original volume to breath out
Gases exchange: Alveoli are covered by capillaries.Oxygen movesfrom alveoli to capillaries while carborn dioscide moves in the opposite.
