Deforestation
Cattle Ranching
Large areas are cleared to keep cattle, they end up destroying the ground and making it highly infertile
Plantations
Large areas cleared for things such as palm oil plantations, diverse areas cleared to plant one type of tree for farming
Clear Felling
Large areas of trees are cleared for wood to make furniture and other things, if not clear felling then individual logging will still harm animals and trees
Consequences
Wildlife and plant loss
Large biodiversity can be changed with the loss of plant and animal life at clear felling, plants that could help with medicines could be destroyed and species of animal may become endangered
Loss of habitat
Not only animals but people as well, the native of the rain forest usually migrate around it as the years progress however, now the area is becoming smaller and smaller so they're becoming a lot more restricted
Soil erosion
Wearing away of soil can be caused by cattle ranches or the soil being open to heavy rainfall without any protection of trees or tree roots to hold it together. Soil can be lost in large amounts in run-off of the water, this can be terrible to the environment
Climate
Temperature
-
-
Sun's rays hit the Earth's surface directly causing a lot of heat to be concentrated in a small area, heating it up
Region has equal daylight and night time hours, equal amounts of heat daily
-
No clear seasons, trees shed their leaves all year round and not in specific months as the area is constantly hot with a lot of rain daily
