Professional Value according to NMC(2010), state that nurses must act first and foremost to care for and safeguard the public. As well as practice autonomously and be responsible and accountable for safe, compassionate, person-centred, evidence-based nursing that respects and maintains dignity and human rights.
Consent is the agreement by a mentally competent person, voluntary, and without deceipt, or fraud, to an action which without consent would be a trespass to that person( Birdget, D.(2009b).
Bridget, D.(2009c), listed the various forms of gaining consent as a) Consent in writing b) Consent by word of mouth inclusive of verbal and non-verbal consent. d)Non- Verbal consent could mean implied
Ethics is concerned with value judgement of what is right or wrong behaviour (Fry, S.T.(2002a)
