Little rock nine- 9 african americans went to a all white school and the guard wouldn't allow them in, so they went to the president and the president took the guards away and let the African Americans in.

Rosa Parks- An African American women who refused to give up her seat on a bus. Even tho she was sitting int he black section. The man wanted her seat and she wouldnt give it up, so she got taken off the bus and arrested. Soon after black started to boycott busses. They eventually allowed black and white to sit wherever because they were loosing money.

Sit in- This is where african american men went into a restaurant and demanded to be served but hey wouldn't serve them. The cops there them out and beat them and they just keep coming back which made the restaurant loose money because they where taking up seat so they eventually said everyone any race is allowed in and to be served.

Freedom Riders- where blacks and white rode together on buses and trains on the interstate to venture through the south and risked their lives to challenge a segregated interstate travel system

Black Panthers- African americans that where upset about the police treating them poorly and they decided to fight back.

Freedom Summer-was a nonviolent effort by civil rights activists to integrate Mississippi's segregated political system during 1964.
Birmingham Riots was to bring attention to the integration efforts of African Americans. It caused a bombing of a church.
