S-Pankki app's bank usability
Learnability
If one has used any banking app or web site before, the app has known features. It is not possible to execute everything in the app that is possible in web site, and user can't see it in the app, only read it from the help section.
Memorability
In the banking section there is not so many different functions, which keeps the learning at the minimum. Functions are clearly named which eases the memory load.
Minimalism
Money transfer to user's own account can be found on the main page and from cards view, but mains pages's shortcut is not a bad thing.
Discoverability
Every bank feature is named so they are easy to find. If one is completely new user, it is hard to find info what to do first. e.g. get s-bonus card and account. But then again, why would one then have the app?
Intuitiveness
It is easy to see at one glance what the app is for and what can be done with the app.
Operability
An experienced user has no problems using the app's features, there are so few of them and they are clearly named.
Affordance
The bank has features that might make usage of it more pleasant and when user is communicated about those, it might make users find what more there is in the app.
Clarity
Every feature is named clearly, but lack guidance and might leave some users confused. It is not enough to but guidance to help section.
Interactivity
The app had confusing states. When opening is user can see some features if once before logged in, but not all of them. Trying to log in with finger print the UI doesn't communicate if the finger print was scanned or not (scanner though does vibrate).
Errors
The apps some features lack communicating. The app does something without asking user, and user might be let confused what was done and how to fix it, if it needs to be fixed. Fixing might be under some tap that user might not know that he or she needs to press it.
Control
Returning from making new payment saves the payment without asking and sometimes the app logs out on it self.
Tailorability
There is only few things to modify. But one of the best is many possibilities to log in.
Consistency
In the app there is all user might need in regular use, but it feels so tacky, it is not only the looks. But the same tacky behavior is the same throughout the app.
Accessibility
Color usage is clear enough, there is enough contrast between text and the background. It is not clearly indicated that is the user logged in or not. Different log in possibilities help users with accessibility issues. There is shortcuts in the app. Haven't tested text to speech features.
Documentation
Help is sectioned so that user easily finds what he or she is looking for. User finds help on the bottom of every view. There are things that could be in the UI rather than separate help section.
