Working Patterns
Compressed Hours
Type of work where the employee can come to work any day and finish at anytime they want but they would need to work for the expected/set number of hours told by the company.
Disadvantages
- Can be physically and mentally draining.
- Not only is the workweek squeezed into a shorter time frame, but all the after-work activities must also be wedged into the remaining hours of each work day.
Advantages
- Allows to employee to be have more freedom with their day
- Most people appreciate having a full day off during each workweek, while still preserving full-time income.

Job sharing
Definition: It is basically a two part-time employees that work similar to that of a full time employee, sharing their money paid for work and service.
Advantages
- You have more free time
- You gain two brains, two sets of enthusiasm and creativity
Disadvantages
- The employer get less money
- Job sharing managers may spend more time supervising to workers

Flexible Hours
Flexible hours is a type of working that that allows the employees a certain degree of freedom in deciding how the work will be done and how they'll coordinate their schedules. The employee would decide their own minimum and maximum the working hours.
Advantages
- You could have more free time
- Avoids traffic and the stresses of commuting during rush hours.
Disadvantages
- No teamwork since they would be working at different time
- People might think you are not working
Part time working
Definition: Works less time than those that work full time, only a part of a working day or week.
Advantages
- Expanding the pools of of potential recruits
- Being able to show potential clients and customers that you value having a diverse workforce and ethical employment practices
Disadvantages
- Recruitment cost might be higher than paying one full time worker
- Additional cost for training employees
