Objective 5
- An astronomical clock has special mechansims 2. Displays astronomical information
- Gives positions of the sun and moon
- Follows the hours and years
Objective 2
- Francis Bacon, Galileo, Rene Descartes, and Issac Newton 2. Made discoveries
- Changed the world
- Scientist did everything
Objective 4
- Galileo is a scientist and an astronomer 2. Galileo made pioneering observations
- Laid out the foundation for modern physics and astronomy
- His research helepd develop the modern clock.
Objective 3
- Copernicus was an astronomer that lived in the early 1500s
- Came up with the idea the the sun is the center of the universe
- This is very different from other beliefs
- Belvied the earth was the center
Objective 1

- This was a time of great strides.
- Made discoveries that would change the world.
- Copernicus was an astronomer.
- Galileo made pioneering observations.
- An astronomical clock has special mechanisms
An astronomical clock keeps track of hours, years, sun, moon, tides, pretty much everything
My favorite astronomical clock is the one from Lyon. It is my favorite because it looks very old. I like the structure of the whole clock. The clock has a sun on it so you can tell which one it is like the zodiacal constellations are a whole separate thing.
A hypothesis is an educated guess. The Scientific method is ask a problem, research, form a hypothesis, test, analyze data, draw conclusions and an scientific test
- Galileo is a scientist, philosopher, and astronomer
- Galileo proved that all objects fall at the same time
- Galileo was on house arrest for most of his life
- Galileo is the father of modern physics
- Rene Descartes could prove anything 2. Had the famous quote "I think, therefore I am" 3. he says god is not the center of the universe 4. He discovered that our senses are not useful for thinking
- Issac Newton he comes around after Galileo 2. He pioneered the first scientific telescope
- Newton created 3 laws
- He used his god given talents
- Nick Copernicus put the sun in the center of the universe
- He is buried in his own place
- He is given a life long position
- Once you move the sun in the center and the Planets they make a beautiful movement
