add up all the numbers, then divide all the numbers by the amount of numbers you added by
ex .9,2,3,5,8 --> 2,3,5,8,9--> 2+3+5+8+9=27-->27\5=

You use mean when you have no extreme value
mode
You find a mode by looking for the most numbers that are used frequently
You use mode when the data has the same numbers frequently used.
ex. 5,1,7,4,90,2,65,2,52-->1,

median
You find the median by executing numbers from the highest to the lowest in that pattern until you're left with a middle numer
You use median when the data has extreme value and no gaps in the middles of the data
