Statistics
Mean
-
To find the mean, you must add all the numbers and then divide by how many numbers are in the set.
-
-
Median
To find the median, organize the numbers in order and look at the middle number. If it has two middle numbers, find the mean of those two numbers to find your median.
-
The median should be used when there are no extreme values and there are no large gaps in the middle.
-
Mode
To find the mode of a data set you must find the number that appears the most. Ordering numbers from least to greatest is a great way to identify the mode.

Statistical Questions
-
-
To complete a statistical question you must refer back to the data set or graph to answer the given question statistical can ask about a various amount of things like height, weight, etc.
-
Box Plot
To create a box plot you must arrange the numbers in a data set from least to greatest. After that you must find the median of the lower and upper half of the date set. Finally you arrange the "whiskers" of the box plot on the 1st and 4th Quartile and create a box around the 2nd and 3rd Quartile and but a line over the median of the entire data set.
-
Histograms
To create a histogram you must first arrange a data set from least to greatest. Afterwards, you must arrange all the numbers and but them into their according ranges in the histogram.
-
Line Plot
. To use a line plot you can arrange numbers from least to greatest and use a symbol ( whether it be a "X" o any other symbol ) to symbolize how many numbers are in a data set.
