Should hospitals hire more nurses or should hospitals keep the same amount of nurses they have now?
:check:PROS
Nurses will get to experience different hospital settings instead of seeing the same one everyday.
Nurses seeing different kinds of patients are at high risk of getting sick. So if more nurses are being hired, nurses would not get sick as much.
There will be more help for nurses. Instead of one nurse attending 30 patients all at once, that nurse will have less patients to see with more nurses being hired.
MY EXPERIENCES
My father always tells me that a Nursing job is not a good job to have because of the hours and exposure to many different viruses and germs.
My uncle is a nurse and he is planning on majoring in something else now because he does not like the way he is being treated and how the work is
When I visited my dad's uncle, also my uncle, my uncle had a catheter that needed to be monitored and changed I believe 2- 3 times a day. Well I remember the nurse came in and did her job but as she was draining the pump, she spilled some to the floor. So many health hazards are at stake here but not the patient but to the visitors. The nurse didn't really clean well, she only used soap and paper towels to clean. I am guessing she needed to leave to see other patients.
BACKGROUND
question 1
Should hospital hire more nurses so that some nurses can have off days while other works and vice versa?
question 2
What is a reason why nurses are quitting their jobs?
question 3
who should hospitals hire instead, RNs or BSNs?
:green_cross:CONS
Nurses will be more stressed when working with their patients causing nurses to be less interactive with their patients.
Nurses will be more than like to be working on their off days since there isn't a lot of nurses at hospitals or their will be nurses handing their work days too other nurses so that they can be off instead.
If hospitals don't hire, more work will be piled on to the nurses causing them to get even more sick since they will be interacting with the patients.
