• Suspected Acute coronary syndrome
• Acute cardiogenic pulmonary oedema
Aspirin is contraindicated in,
• Known severe allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to Aspirin or other non-steroidal anti inflammatories
• Chest pain from psycho stimulant overdose
• Bleeding or clotting disorders
• Patients less than 18 years
• Current GI bleeding or peptic ulcers
Precautions are,
• Possible aortic aneurysm or other condition worthy of surgery
• Pregnancy
• History of GI bleeds
• Current anticoagulant drug – Warfarin
Dosage,
• >18 years- 300 Mg (1 tablet with water)
