Innovation
Levels of innovation

Radical new knowledge is required to exploit uncharted opportunities (current knowledge becomes obsolete) e.g. telephone, steam engine, motor car, internet
Incremental small changes, refinements and modifications to existing products, e.g. picture quality, hi-fi sound
Models of innovation

Process improving processes rather than end products or services (e.g. Netflix as online and postal service)
