Exosphere

The exosphere is the outer layer of the thermosphere and extends from 400 kilometers to thousand of kilometers

The temperature is 0 to over 1700 degrees Celsius. It is colder at night and much hotter during the day.

The thermosphere is near the top of the atmosphere and is 80 kilometers away from earth

The temperature is very hot, up to 1,800 C because the suns rays hit the thermosphere first.

The mesosphere is the middle layer and starts 50 kilometers away and goes to 80 kilometers out.

The temperature is around 90 C in the outer mesosphere.

The stratosphere is the second layer and contains the ozone layer. It is about 50 kilometers above the earth.

The temperature of the lower stratosphere is around 60 C and the upper stratosphere is hotter.

The troposphere is the lowest layer of the atmosphere. The troposphere is where all the weather happens. It is around 9-16 kilometers up from earth.

The temperature of the troposphere is very varied but at the top of the troposphere it is about 80 C where clouds form.

Nitrogen is important because that is what plants thrive on.

Oxygen is important because it lets us breathe.

Water vapor is important because it is all around us and because it makes clouds to have water for our plants.

All the other gasses are important because they all make our atmosphere just like our atmosphere.
