Sperm ducts - delivers the sperm to the urethra
Penis - a muscle that holds the urethra
Urethra - a long, thin tube that lets out urine
Testis - a spherical ball where sperm is produced
Scrotum - a bag where the testis are stored
Female
Oviduct - long, thin tubes that the egg travels along
Ovary - small bags where the eggs are stored
Uterus - where the baby develops
Cervix - a long, thin tube that is the border between the vagina and uterus
Vagina - the tube that the penis is inserted into
Urethra - the long thin tube that lets out urine
Fertilization and implantation
A baby is made when a male ejaculates into a woman's vagina
The sperm and the egg cells then connect and their chromosomes bond to create a new human
Each cell holds 23 chromosomes, so when they combine they form 46 which is enough to make a cell
Development of a fetus
4 weeks - 1cm
6 weeks - 3cm
10 weeks - 6cm
16 weeks - 12cm
The baby has turned - 16cm
Menstrual Cycle
Occurs in women after puberty
First sign of the menstrual cycle is when the period starts
Occurs once a month
In every cycle the egg is released from the ovary - the uterus prepares for the egg
If the egg is not fertilized then the ovary lining is shed as the period
Period usually lasts 3 - 7 days
Adolescence
We grow up so we can physically have children

Breasts develop
Pubic hair grows around vagina
Hips widen
Periods start
Ovaries make eggs
Ovaries produce sex hormones
Male
Pubic hair grows around the penis
Voice breaks
Might become more agressive
