FMP - Mobile Phone Addiction
CAMPAIGN 2 - Wellbeing safety/health/accidents.
Physical risks/effects.
Road signs .
With mobile phones on instead for cars. These would be on the pavement/on the road. For example a 'NO ENTRY' sign for phones, this would be warning people that it is dangerous walking whilst on your phone, it's also warning people of crossing the road whilst still on your phone and just relying on the traffic lights for your safety.
These would be either stencils or mono print/screen print posters/signs on the road/pavements.
Addiction stencils .
These would be stencils on the pavements and the sides of the wall of an outline of a person holding what would look to be alcohol bottle or a cigarette but in actaul fact it has an outline of a moble phone. These are supposed to represent that mobile phone addiction and the health affects of using your phone all the time can be just as bad (in the long run) as things such as smoking and drinking alcohol.
These would be done by hand stencils or i would create a rough shape of a person and just spray pain/chalk the design out. I would keep minimal colours (maybe just whilte) so that it doesn't make to message too detailed or complicated.
Eyesight statistics poster
This would be similar to the adverts on the pavement/floor but with statistics.
CAMPAIGN 1 - Missing the world around you (communication with people.
Concepts
Looking through a mobile phone photo .
Photo of what is in front of us (road/landscape) with a phone layered over the top with the same photo inside as if you're looking through it (in B&W).
Posters/stencils on the floor/pavement/road/bus stop/train station platform/park bench/stairs.
These would be on the floor/somewhere you would walk because when we are using our phones we are constantly looking down therefore an advertisment on the floor would catch my target audiences attention a lot better than if the posters/stencils were on the walls.
These posters/stencils would be basic, simple messages that put across my issue in an easy and understandable way. Such as 'LOOK UP & TURN IT OFF', 'OUR PHONES AREN'T OUR EYES', 'INSTAGRAM /SNAPCHAT/FACEBOOK CAN WAIT, LOOK UP'. These are supposed to make people aware of how much time they are actually spending on their phones without even realising and to make people think about what they are doing and what they could be missing in reality if they didnt look up from this virtual reality that they are trapped in on their mobile phones.
I would also have two posters that were linked but were split apart either side of each other. This would preferably be on the floor bellow a bench because, especially if you are satdown, your peripheral vision extends to each side of you therefore you would see the advert even if you weren't looking at it because it would be clear in your peripheral vision, you would read this from one side to the other.
For these, the medium i would use is screen printing (so i can have mulpitple layers)and hand drawn/painted/chalked stencils.
Restaurant/coffee shop tickets/signs.
On the window/door i would create a sticker/badge to put on that would be a sign/symbol for no phone/no entry with phones. Another idea would be to have a sign on the table or a little message, 'facing up or facing down, its still rude'.
Awareness campaign, help people understand the issue/damage.
The issue of being immersed in virtual reality "mobile devices".
