What is clean eating?
Instead of taking things out of your diet, add more things in! Such as eating organic food, more protein, and more fruits and veggies
Clean eating is all about eating "Whole Foods" . Meaning not eating refined or processed foods
The six principles of clean eating
Eliminate processed foods
Processed foods are anything in a bag or box. Except something like a bag of spinach
Choose unrefined foods
Eat whole grains, brown rice, and quinoa.
Substitute white sugar for honey, maple syrup, raw sugar, or cane sugar
Instead of vegetable oil use coconut oil or sunflower oil
Eat protein at every meal
The best time to have large amounts are at breakfast or lunch
The best times to eat protein and carbohydrates are at breakfast and lunch
Watch out for fatty foods, salt, and sugar
As soon as you cut out processed foods the chances of having too much of this is slimmed down
Eat five to six small meals a day
Normally this would be about 3 main meals and 2 small snacks
Don't drink your calories
Drinking pop or other super high calorie drinks are just full of calories they are most times full of sugars and high fructose corn syrup.
Specialty coffees add about 400-500 MORE calories
