People in society how they respond to Ex-Soldiers
People in their society think they are crazy so soldiers treated as outcasts. This doesn't help them in their recovery.
The public sees war and killing on tv etc and judges soldiers doing their part as treats them as murderers etc.

CORPORAL MOSTYN PRYCE & TIARE & DESMONDS DAD carry the imagery of the disturbing things they witnessed
For Desmond's Dad it is through his dialogue lessons to his boys that he explains the effect on him
"And if by some miracle you get to come home, you wont be thanking no god"
"I dont want to have to come visit my boys here!"
Story about his good looking mate and his uniform he was proud of. "it was good that he got shot in the back. it was quick...so he never knew how terrible his uniform looked"

At the end of WWI many soldiers came home with the Spanish Flu which spread to young and old so thousands died around the world.
People at home (families) send all their good food/clothes etc to the soldiers so they can fight. Because so many workers are away fighting, factories dont produce much things and not a lot of food is grown because the farmers have gone to war so people end up rationing food etc so some people nearly starve.

Women have to do jobs that men previously did like farming and factory, mechanical work so Women's rights improve!!
Not being with family while away...unable to fit in with family when you get home...unable to be the man they deserve because of the guilt and mental issues you accumulated while at war.
Lack of trust in anyone to understand what you went through.
Keep to themselves because no one can possible comprehend what they are going through.
